Active Flag

We have been busy over the past couple of months working towards getting our Active School flag for St. Peter’s. We have a committee established (comprised of teachers and students) who help come up with ideas and initiatives to keep our students and staff active.

We have held many an activity within the school from our school sports day to GAA coaching, Halloween Disco, Basketball, Golf, our nature treks and a whole-school walk in the sun. Along with this, we have come up with ways to integrate fitness and activity into our daily routine.

We will continue to work to maintain accreditation with the following activities to come, Folk dancing, Gymnastics, Swimming, Active School Week, Ceilí for Seachtain Na Gaeilge, School Walk, Environmental day at seashore, Active school tour.

Well done to our Active School Committee and our Active School Coordinator Ms. Byrne for their excellent work.
